I have been using MS Outlook (from MS Office Enterprise 2007) for the past year with no problems (stand alone on laptop with connection to web hosting server). But my HDD went bust so when I replaced it, I had to re-install all my applications all over again including Office.
Everything works well except Outlook. For when I try and launch it, I immediately get the following message: “The connection to MS Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.”
I tried a few of the troubleshooting steps I knew but to no avail. That’s when a friend of mine suggested I contact Omnitech Support for assistance. And I did.
Wow. Getting transferred between agents then departments back and forth was a real pain. I wasn’t even sure if they understood my issue but I waited and waited some more. It was all very unnerving at first but as soon as I got through to this technical agent, I really felt they understood what exactly had to be done. He patiently guided me through a few advanced troubleshooting steps and Walla! I was back on track.
